Hopefully Sow

Hopefully Sow

The Oceanbags team had the privilege of meeting Ash Almonte in her studio in Lakeway (Ashley Almonte Art Studio) just a few days ago. As we admired the incredible and innovative art populating her creative space (call me majorly impressed with her talent), we could only chalk this up as one more attribute among the many because we were already supporters of Hopefully Sow, an organization that Ash, together with her husband Erwin–ingenious in his own right–lend copious energy and imagination to serve as executive director and executive board member respectively.

Like Oceanbags, Hopefully Sow has a heart for children at risk. Their mission is to sow seeds of love, joy and aspiration for children in Foster care in the Austin Area. The organization first began as a service ministry from a couples community group at Riverbend Church. As the organization grew, its members recognized the appeal of the work and decided to form a non-profit. Hopefully Sow is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.

Among the many gifts of love that Hopefully Sow offers to foster children are bedding, clothing, and running shoes. In addition they facilitate opportunities for the kids in their circle such as art, music, running club, career encouragement, and drivers training (and they pay for the licenses).

Oceanbags is partnering with Hopefully Sow to supply backpacks as well as making plans to join forces in nature outings and mentorship in activities to promote love for life in all its forms. We appreciate this affiliation and applaud Ash, Erwin, and this beautiful organization for the great good that it does.

Sow seeds of joy.

Join the wave of good.
